The Katieran Prime Series by KD Jones is another of my favorite science fiction romance series. The Katieran worlds populations have been decimated by biological warfare that primarily affected women. Of those who survived, many had fertility problems and the birthrate dropped off to almost nil.
Earth, on the other hand is over populated and on the verge of ecological disaster. They called out in the universe for help and the Katierans came with offers to relocate mass numbers of people, particularly young single women of child bearing age. The series chronicles the romances that ensue and they do sizzle. Each volume centers on the romance of at least one Prime leader and we learn a little more about the Katieran worlds and their cultures.
The stories were interesting and well written with quite explicit sex scenes which meld naturally into the plot and character development. I burned through the bundled set in less than a month which is fast reading for me.
Space opera, great characters, romance and hot sex---that's my kind of story. If that's what you like too, give the Katieran Primes series a try.
